"Reconciliation To Community By Building Bridges Of Restoration"

Some History.....

In 2001, Senior Pastor Bob Emery of New Life Christian Fellowship in Milton, Vermont began a men's Bible study and support group.  At the time, there were men attending who had recently been released from prison.  The group became a supportive place for these men and it provided a place for accountability and growth.

Support and accountability are key needs for a successful return to the community.  Some men who are in transition from an institution don't have a network of support and need more help.  It was acknowledging this that the group began to pray about starting a residential program.  God gave this group of men a vision for establishing houses throughout the State of Vermont so that men who are returning to the community would have a place to live while making the transition.

Prayer continued, a Board was formed, non-profit status was granted and by 2002 property was pursued in the Franklin County area of Vermont.  Steve Clark was hired in early 2003 and by November of that year, he and his wife Lorie opened the first house at 622 Railroad Street in St Johnsbury, Vermont.

In early 2007, Covered Bridge purchased a 5 bedroom house on Pearl Street in St Johnsbury.
